The Bayliner 38 hull has tunnels built in over the propellers. This design gives more power to the props. Hull construction uses a traditional hand laid method with isophthalic gelcoats and a hybrid-resin barrier over standard resins. Syntactic foam coring is used for high strength and low weight.

This is a hard chine vessel and can travel at higher speeds.

There is good access to both engines and generator. The vessel was hauled in 2018, bottom painted and some blisters repaired.

Waterline Boats / Boatshed does not independently verify measures and capacities, which are reported from seller-provided information, and/or literature.

Stepping into the saloon of the Bayliner 38 the large dinette is located to port. This area also converts into a double berth. Opposite is a wet bar with sink and ice maker. The ice maker was replaced 2016. The blender was replaced 2013.
Forward of the wet bar on starboard is the lower helm. Most of the electronics are located here. Because the present owner usually drove the boat from here he added three switches to the right of the helm for easy control of the windshield wipers.

There are three steps down from here to the galley and entrance to guest stateroom. The galley includes a three burner propane stove that was a custom installation by Sure Marine in 2015, and a full size marine refrigerator /freezer.

Moving into the guest stateroom a double berth is aft. A hanging locker to port and door to the head forward. The guest head is actually larger than the master head and has a separate door to the companionway. Located forward is a sliding door to the shower/tub area. The shower is also accessed by sliding door to the master stateroom.

The master stateroom has a centerline queen berth with storage drawers under the aft end. There are also two hanging lockers port and starboard.

Access to the flybridge is from the aft cockpit by ladder. The flybridge has a centerline helm seat and seating for six. An optional flybridge aft deck and cockpit hard top is included. This gives you addition seating on the bridge and the cockpit is fully enclosed with roll up canvas.

Access to the fore deck is port & starboard on catwalks with lifelines.

Cabin heat is from a Red Dot engine bus fan heater, and from three built-in electric heaters.

Broker's Comments

VIRTUAL TOUR - VIDEO - 80 TO 100 PHOTOS - FULL SPECS CAN BE VIEWED OF THIS VESSEL!
The Bayliner 38 sedan with flybridge is one of the most popular family cruising boats ever built. There are over a thousand of them on the water.

Its popularity is based on many factors but primarily on interior design. It is a two stateroom boat with two separate heads. The single shower/tub is designed to have access from the master stateroom and from the guest head. The galley is equipped with a 3 burner propane stove and oven . The refrigerator is full size with a separate freezer. There is a double sink with plenty of counter space and storage. The saloon area has a large movable table and seating for six in the dinette.

Another major feature is the flybridge. The standard bridge area has seating for at least 6 and the optional hard cover for the cockpit adds more seating or storage. The aft deck is also fully canvas enclosed.

The seller of this boat has extensive maintenance records -- actually a file drawer full of records! There is also a large quantity of spare parts and materials aboard, such as engine oil and filters. Another strength of this vessel is one of the engines was completely replaced and the other has low hours.

Seller's tools aboard are excluded from the sale.

The boat is ready for its next cruise, and is located at our dock here on Lake Union. Please call for a viewing.
