Commentaires du Broker
This J Laurent Giles 12 metre design was originally built in the Republic of Togo by a syndicate of German boat builders, working at the origin of both the woods Teak and Iroko, as well as craftsmen who were expert at working with those woods.
She was brought to the Netherlands to cruise both their seas and their inland waterways. To serve both purposes her draft was reduced and a centre-plate installed.
A comfortable sailer under her ketch rig with many miles - Africa, Spain, France, the Netherlands and Germany - under her keel. Her sails have all been replaced with traditional ochre colouring and a cruising chute has been added to the inventory. All the working sails are stayed inboard with no bowsprit for extra safety.
This looks a great, proficient boat with fine lines, safe features, a wide deck and exquisite workmanship. She is a classic that always turns eyes and welcomes nods with her red sails, wide beam and graceful sheer.

Nice boat but old ketch at Ipswich. I sailed at the RHS school in Holbrook in the 50's and became I/c of our largest warships. This boat has some features that I don't wasn't; IE I would prefer bilge keels but must have a ketch rig for versatility of sail availability. Have you another ketches on your books, around 36 foot?
