Postcards from the Languedoc
To all you fenders hanging around back home in the UK……..
“Yey!! Spent fantastic summer hols with our new owners Jill and Kevin Roach the latest guys to take up the Boatshed mantle. Seem like nice folk, and having bounced through the canals of France a few times, know the value of guys like me and Floss Fender!
We’ll be living on the sunny Languedoc coast helping them with their new business Boatshed Sudmed. Floss and I are really excited and can’t wait to catch some of those Mediterranean rays.
Been doing a spot of homework, or “les devoirs” as they call it "en France" and there are some cracking marinas along the coast, from sleepy Cerbere on the Spanish border, glorious Banyuls-sur-mer, old roman Port Vendres, 16th century Collioure, lively Argeles sur mer, cool Canet and St Cyprien, Barcares and Port Leucate , up to Port La Nouvelle, one of the gateways to the canal du midi.
We reckon we’ll be bobbing around in some pretty stunning spots.
Hope to pick up the lingo "un peu" so will be posting in French too maybe!
Anyhow, will keep you posted; off to pack flip flops and sunnies…..and defo no foulies!!!
Phil and Floss
