(Taken from the https://www.nationalhistoricships.org.uk/register/2757/plodder website)
She was built in 1931 as a tug by T. van Duijvendijk of Lekkerkerk, Holland for a British owner. She is a vessel of iron riveted construction and her present engine is a diesel by Parr and Dunwoody installed in1954.
Her first owners were John Henry Crisp of London. Following this she had a variety of owners including the Admiralty in 1942, providing port services in the South Atlantic and then for the Ministry of War Transport serving in West Africa. She eventually returned home in 1945 to work the Thames once again. In 1954 she was involved in the transfer of CUTTY SARK to her purpose built dry dock at Greenwich. Finally coming out of commercial service in the 1980s,
Since then she has been converted to a liveaboard. The engine has been removed to provide better living accommodation. You can enjoy her lines and the vintage feeling she has. She currently benefits from being moored on a residential mooring at a very reasonable rent.
